Job Title: CDM AdvisorSalary: £40,000 - £50,000Permanent Location: Winchester Shirley Parsons have partnered with a Construction Consultancy who are looking for a CDM Advisor to join their team, based at their Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy office in Winchester.Working as part of a small growing team you will be involved in construction projects that cover sectors such as Hotels, Housing, Offices, Retail, Health and Education based primarily in the Winchester area.Responsibilities: Undertaking the role of principle designerResponsibility for managing your own projectsProviding CDM advice and support to Client Teams, advising clearly of their CDM Duties and assisting with development of CDM strategy for projectsAttending and co-ordinating Design & Project Meetings as required throughout projectsVisiting project sites prior to construction to carry out initial risk appraisals and during construction to review arrangements (as required)Preparing, co-ordinating and distributing relevant pre-construction Health & Safety Information to other design & project team members, using company format where requiredIssuing F10 notificationsReviewing Construction Phase Plans, demolition & lifting plans etcUndertaking site H&S reviews and producing reports for ClientsCollation and production of Health & Safety Files Qualifications: Demonstrate some practical experience in providing CDM servicesHold at least Technical Membership with IOSH and be working towards Graduate / Chartered statusMembership with the APS would be beneficialNEBOSH Construction or General Certificate is essential. NVQ 5 H&S or NEBOSH Diploma is preferredHave a very good understanding of risk management and hazard identificationHave a thorough understanding of the design and construction processExcellent organisation, communication and time management skills to match Client and Company expectations The successful candidate will be a confident communicator at all levels and will be able to build and maintain successful Client relationships. Senior Principal Designer London Up to £85,000 We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a talented Principal Designer to join a bespoke Construction and Property Consultancy in London, as a Senior Principal Designer. This role will involve managing a range of projects and working with clients to deliver tailored Principal Designer and CDM Advisory services.The successful candidate will have a strong Principal Designer background and will be looking to step up into a more senior role, with further development opportunities in the team. The position will be a based from their London offices, with some flexibility to work from home as well as visiting sites when required.
