Description

An international metals manufacturer is seeking an EHS Manager at a greenfield location near Parkersburg, WV. Working closely with the local leadership team, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the entire EHS programs at the facility, working to minimize safety risks, ensuring compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies, and implementing corporate initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to be a part of a brand-new facility that is being constructed. 

The Role:

• Develop, manage, and implement appropriate health and safety procedures in accordance with federal, state, local, and corporate requirements.

• Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, and other safety assessments.

• Manage and perform activities to ensure compliance with the site Industrial Hygiene program.

• Participate in detailed incident investigation teams to determine root causes and corrective and preventive actions.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related degree.

• 10+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment. 

• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT Standards, and other industrial accepted safe work practices.

• Strong communication skills, and ability to engage with employees at all levels.
