Shirley Parsons have exclusively partnered with a leading consultancy in health and safety and ergonomics who are looking for a motivated Health & Safety Consultant to support with a client's warehousing and fulfilment centre in the Nottingham area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on role, is keen to grow within the field and be part of a team that values quality work, personal development, and making a difference.

The Health & Safety Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Implementing health and safety systems and processes at a warehousing site in Nottingham.
  • Conducting risk assessments, audits, and investigations to ensure safety compliance.
  • Delivering effective solutions and negotiating their implementation on-site.
  • Motivating and training managers and staff on health and safety best practices.
  • Managing multiple high-priority situations and communicating effectively with all levels of staff.

The Health & Safety Consultant will have:

  • At least two years of health and safety experience, ideally within a consultancy or warehousing environment.
  • A dynamic and positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using various health and safety tools and techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports.
  • A willingness to travel throughout the UK and work independently without supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum: NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and TechIOSH.
  • Desirable: NEBOSH National Diploma Level 6 (or equivalent), Cert/GradIOSH.
