A leading company in the Netherlands is seeking a professional to fill the role of a health, safety, environmental, and quality (QSH&E) coordinator.
As a valued member of the (Q)SH&E team in the Benelux & France region, you will work within the construction management department. Your responsibilities will encompass the following:
- Providing guidance to relevant stakeholders on standards set by the client and regulatory bodies.
- Staying informed about specific government agency requirements.
- Actively enhancing SH&E (Safety, Health, and Environment) practices on construction sites.
- Assisting the Q&A and SH&E manager in ensuring that client and company-specific management systems are effectively implemented.
- Promoting a robust (Q)SH&E culture.
- Independently devising approaches to (Q)SH&E solutions.
- Investigating workplace accidents, injuries, and hazard-related complaints.
- Implementing safety, quality, and customer-centric practices in daily operations.
- Proposing and implementing process, design, procedure, and equipment improvements to minimize SH&E and Quality hazards.
- Mentoring and developing colleagues and contractors in SH&E and Quality.
- Applying both quality assurance and control to all projects/programs.
- Regularly monitoring SH&E and Quality data.
- Upholding a commitment to maintaining a zero accidents, incidents, and spills mindset.
- Strong organizational effectiveness.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Profound knowledge of local Dutch legislation.
- Solid understanding of management systems (e.g., ISO45001, ISO9001, etc.).
- Strong auditing skills.
- Self-motivated and a team player.
- A passion for working on projects and practical experience in various Quality and SH&E-related areas.
- Exemplary behaviour with respect to safety and quality.
- A strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in SH&E and Quality management, engineering, or a related technical field.
- Holding an MVK, MoSHE, or equivalent certification/training.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English (both written and verbal).
- At least 5 years of experience in a construction, industrial, or consulting company.
- A valid driver's license.
