We have partnered with a global leading manufacturing organisation who are seeking to appoint a UK Health & Safety Manager to be the operational lead and develop strategy across their UK sites. The UK Health & Safety Manager, will report to the Health & Safety Director, and will be responsible for moving the company from a compliance led approach through a culture change towards embedding positive behaviours.

The UK Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for:

· Create, develop and implement the HSE strategy (in line with global directives) across their 10+ UK sites, both manufacturing and logistics
· You will be a hands-on leader, understanding where you can make an immediate impact and what the long-term goals will be
· You will drive cultural change, bringing HSE and Compliance to the forefront
· Coaching, managing and developing operational stakeholders, matrixed H&S staff and management peers will be essential, for you to drive change and enable individuals and the business to be more proactive
· Ensure standards are met and continually improved upon
· Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally

The UK Health & Safety Manager will have:

· Experience of working within a heavy industry / engineering / manufacturing environment or similar
· Be an enabler - able to demonstrate prior examples of H&S initiatives
· Must have experience managing and developing cultural change
· Experience maintaining management systems such as ISO14001, ISO 45001
· NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is preferable
· Proven experience of developing HSE strategies
· Proven leadership skills - the ability to engage at all levels is vital
· Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence
